EXPLORE OUR
MOON CAVE
Tucked beneath a canopy of ancient oak trees, the Moon Cave is a one-of-a-kind earthen sanctuary where art, nature and gathering meet. This stage is a hand-carved and sculpted mud creation by Rebecca Gilling and friends, as part of an immersive workshop project here at Butterfly Mountain. Framed by sprawling oak branches overhead and surrounded by natural stone terraces, the space feels like a hidden woodland temple.
The Moon Cave's unique amphitheater layout creates an intimate yet expansive atmosphere, making it ideal for concerts, ceremonies, talks, weddings, and community gatherings. As sunlight filters through the trees and dances across the handcrafted details, the space comes alive with a sense of wonder, inviting guests to slow down, listen deeply, and gather in harmony with the land.
